Version history

See every change to a diagram, where it came from, and go back to an earlier version.

The Version history panel, in the rail, lists the diagram's past versions, newest first. Each entry has a short description of the change, where it came from (Assistant, Flowmark, Canvas, Import, Template or Layout) and when it happened. The top entry is the current version.

How entries are made

  • Quick edits of the same kind, made within about 15 seconds of each other, are combined into one entry. Each change the assistant makes always gets its own entry.
  • Undo and redo add entries too, so the history shows them.
  • The app keeps the 40 most recent entries for each diagram.

Restore an earlier version

Point to the entry you want and select Restore this version. The diagram goes back to that state, and the restore is added as a new entry at the top. Nothing is lost: the version you replaced is still in the list, so you can restore it again.

Version history is saved with the diagram in your account, so it's there on every device. Only you can see it; people with a view-only link can't.
